Rising Fawn, Georgia · Inside McLemore
The Eyrie House at McLemore
Perched above. Set apart. Four bedrooms at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the eastern brow of Lookout Mountain — golf course below, valley beyond, and a cart in the garage.
The house
Three levels, two living rooms, two fireplaces.
Every bedroom has a king bed. Every level has a full bath with a rainfall shower, so nobody is negotiating over hot water at 7am. The great room opens up under vaulted ceilings with cedar walls and deep green rooms that make the whole place feel like it grew out of the ridge instead of being dropped onto it.
Downstairs there's a stone fireplace and a second living room — the one that ends up hosting the late conversation after the kids are down.

Golf
Eight-tenths of a mile, by cart.
The pro shop, the range, and Cloudland are 0.8 miles away by golf cart — 1.8 by car, if you insist. The Highlands and The Keep are both here, the fairway runs just below the tree line off the deck, and the house participates in McLemore's Stay & Play program. Guest services handles the rest.

The 19th hole
A game room built for the part after the round.
Full-length shuffleboard. A lit Golden Tee cabinet. Ping pong out on the covered patio, cornhole in the yard, and a record player with a shelf of vinyl for whoever claims the aux — except there is no aux, which is the point.

Outside
Wrap-around decks on all three levels.
Rocking chairs, a porch swing, string lights, an outdoor TV, two grills, and a long outdoor dining run for when everyone eats at once. Covered porches mean the rain doesn't cancel anything. The views do most of the work.
